3M Healthcare recently welcomed 25 wound care specialists from across the Gulf region to Jordan, to take part in the 3M Tegaderm Academy, a four-day course accredited by the European Wound Management Association (EWMA).

3M Health Care, a leading provider of medical and oral care products and drug delivery and health information systems, recently welcomed 25 wound care specialists from across the Gulf region to Jordan, to take part in the 3M Tegaderm Academy, a four-day course accredited by the European Wound Management Association (EWMA).
The innovative Academy, which is the first of its kind in the region, aims to bring global expertise and standards in the field of wound care to the Middle East region, and benefits from 3M's leading position as a major player in the advanced wound care market segment with products such as Cavilon and the Tegaderm Matrix.
Speaking at the event, which involved a dedicated scientific programme, were a number of international key opinion leaders in the field, including Luc Gryson, lecturer and coordinator for WOUND-Ex; Zena Moore, lecturer in wound healing and tissue repair and research methodology at the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, Ireland; in addition to Bart Maene, 3M Technical Service Specialist, Advanced Wound Care in Western European Marketing Subsidiaries. The specialists showcased state of the art presentations in the field of skin and wound care, as well as new insights into basic science, clinical research and therapeutic interventions.
At the end of the event, the attendees all received a certificate of participation from the 3M Tegaderm Academy, certified by the University of Brussels, an EWMA-endorsed establishment.
